SCOPE OF WORK:

NEW CANEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL – REPLACEMENT

Project consists of the following:

PROJECT INFORMATION

A. The Project, of which the work of this Contract is a part, is the New Caney Elementary School

Replacement for New Caney Independent School District.

B. Location: The site is located at 19300 Via Corsica Drive, New Caney, Texas 77357.

C. New work shall include construction of a new 1-story elementary school and associated site

work as indicated on the Drawings and described in the Project Manual.

1. Building Area: approximately 113,273 SF.

D. The project is under the jurisdiction of Montgomery County, Texas.

BUDGET:
The estimated budget for this project is $29,800,000.00

PRE-BID & LOCATION:

Pre-Proposal meeting agenda will include review of topics that may affect proper preparation and submittal of proposals and is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on September 25, 2024 at 22784 Hwy 59S Building E, Porter, TX 77365. Attendance at the pre-proposal meeting is not mandatory, but all proposers are highly encouraged to attend.

BID-DATE & LOCATION:

Sealed proposals for the construction work to be performed as required and/or contemplated under this request for competitive sealed proposals and as described herein and in the construction documents will be received no later than October 8, 2024 by 2:00 p.m. Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:05 p.m. on October 8, 2024.

Proposals shall be submitted by hard copies delivered by U.S. Postal mail, courier, or hand delivery to NCISD on or before the date and time set to receive proposals. Proposers shall submit 1 original and 1 copy of proposals in a sealed envelope and are responsible for ensuring that their proposals are time-stamped to evidence timely submission. Hard copies of proposals will only be accepted at NCISD’s Facilities and Construction Building, located at 22784 Hwy 59S Building E, Porter, TX 77365, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, on NCISD business days.

Proposals that have been opened may not be changed for the purpose of correcting an error in the price. Other than price, a proposer may have the right to change any other error or mistake in the proposal as may be permitted by applicable law and subject to the approval of NCISD, unless such change would be in contravention of statutory or common law requirements or unless such change would give an unfair advantage to the proposer making such change.
